END OF YEAR PERFORMANCE
The end of year concert is an exciting time for all involved. It takes a lot of work from all dance teachers and students. All students will perform two dances per class e.g. two ballet routines, two hip hop routines etc. These dances are worked on in class throughout the year.
Our EDN parents are not required to make any costumes as all of these will be supplied for you. You will be given two options with costumes - you can either purchase your costumes and keep them or you can hire them from the studio. We have created an easy and affordable way to pay for your Child's costumes. A costume account will be created for you by EDN that allows you to pay when you can and what you can. A minimum of $20 must be paid to begin this account. From then on you may add as much as you like with a minimum of $20 each deposit.

Once costumes have been purchased, and all costs are known, a costume invoice will be provided to you with the amount remaining to pay. We try to our best to keep our costume prices as low as possible. There will be no refunds given on costumes whether purchased our hired under any circumstances once the concert commitment form has been signed. When signing up to classes at EDN Dance Company you are signing your child up for our end of year concert performance. The only exception to this is our Tiny Twirlers and Tiny Tumblers.
All students must wear makeup for the end of year concert. This is kept to be as age appropriate as possible and to ensure that students do not look washed out under the lights at the theatre during the performance. Hair style for all students for concert is a slicked back ponytail with no flyways. All students MUST wear stockings for each style of dance that have been purchased through EDN Dance Company for the end of year concert. Ballet and Jazz shoes must be MDM brand and can be purchased online or through the studio direct. We will have a professional videographer recording our end of year concert and these DVDs and USBs will be available for purchase. Once concert dates and location are confirmed notice will be sent. Concerts are a team effort and take all staff, students and teachers a long time to plan and put into place. They are a big commitment and we ask that all students enrolled in EDN Dance Company take this commitment very seriously. Notice of inability to perform must be given when the dates for concert are handed out. In the case of illness a medical certificate must be provided.
