EDN DANCE COMPANY  

Uniform is very important to us as children learn best with as little distraction as possible and promotes a team environment. It also helps our teachers to follow the bodies’ movements to ensure students are moving in the correct manner.

FOOTWEAR

 

We request all our dancers wear MDM ballet/jazz shoes. These shoes assist with supporting the feet properly and help avoid any issues the feet may develop over the years. It is very important to protect dancers’ feet while they are learning and teach the muscles to be supported in the correct way.

UNIFORM

 Uniform can be purchased from any of the following:​​

• Energetiks

• Bloch

• Through our studio 

 

Tiny Twirlers

 

We like our Tiny Twirlers and Tiny Tumblers to be dressed in the following:

• a baby pink leotard/black singlet (for boys)

• baby pink skirt/black shorts (for boys)

• ballet pink tights/or no tights for tumblers

• Baby pink cross over for the cooler weather.

• Hair is to be in a ponytail, bun or pigtails with no hair on their face.

 

All other classes uniform depends on the classes they are enrolled in:

 

Sub Juniors, Juniors & Intermediates

 

• Ballet: Dark blue leotard, Dark blue skirt, ballet pink tights and ballet shoes. Hair is to be in a bun with no hair on their face.

• Jazz: Dark blue leotard, black shorts, tan jazz tights and jazz shoes. Hair in a bun or pony tail.

• Hip Hop: EDN t-shirt or singlet, black pants (can be leggings, tracksuit pants or dance pants) and runners. Please ensure shoes are appropriate for dance. Hair in a ponytail.​

 

Seniors 

 

As students get older they tend to be a little more self-conscious, which is why our seniors have a little bit more freedom when it comes to uniform.

• Ballet: Black leotard or fitted singlet, black skirt or shorts, pink stockings and ballet shoes. Hair to be in a bun with all hair off the face.

• Jazz: Black leotard/black fitted singlet, black shorts/leggings/dance pants, jazz shoes to be purchased through EDN Dance Company. Hair to be in a ponytail or bun.

• Hip hop: EDN t-shirt or singlet, black pants (tracksuit pants, leggings or dance pants) and runners. Please ensure that shoes are appropriate for dance. Hair in a ponytail. 

FOR BOYS

• Black Tshirt or singlet

• Black pants or shorts
